September’s Student Employee of the Month is Kendal Manns, a sophomore communications major from Baltimore, Maryland.  Kendal serves as a senior reporter/writer for The Hornet Tribune and was selected to be the second Student Employee of the Month because of his dedication and commitment to his craft. Before arriving at Alabama State University, he attended the Gillman School, where he participated in the Black Student Union, Poetry Club, and Lunches for the Homeless.  While attending high school, he played football, basketball, and was a member of the track team.  Kendal saw the opportunity to work with The Hornet Tribune as a chance to learn the importance of news and its impact on the public and the importance of time management.  Kendal is the son of Antonio Manns and Karen Manns.
