Staff Reporter and Writer Tammia Jacobs is November’s Student Employee of the Month.  Tammia a sophomore broadcast journalism major from Atlanta, Georgia, but a native of Brooklyn, New York.  The daughter of Bonita Forde and Terrence Jacobs, Tammia graduated from Stockbridge High School in 2020 where she participated in the Ladies Club.  She was a member of the symphonic and marching band, where she played trumpet, and served as section leader.  She was a member of the Tiger News Broadcasting Team and a member of the Student Council.  After graduating from Stockbridge High School, she selected Alabama State University to receive her formal education, due in part to the scholarship received, but also because she wanted that HBCU experience.  When asked what she had learned from becoming a member of The Hornet Tribune staff, she replied,  “The importance of meeting deadlines and being the member of a collective in order to meet a common goal.”  To her fellow peers, she would recommend that they develop time management, teamwork, and social skills before joining The Hornet Tribune.
