Christine Shelton is the editor-in-chief for The Hornet Tribune for the 2020-21 academic year. She is a 21-year-old native of Chicago, Ill. who is seeking a degree in English. She hopes to one day become a high school instructor.

January’s Student Employee of the Month is Christine Shelton, a senior English major from Indiana who serves as the chief editor of The Hornet Tribune.  Shelton graduates in May 2021 and is in her fourth year working with The Hornet Tribune because she wanted to become more involved with school organizations.  She chose to continue working for The Hornet Tribune because it is a journey she embarked upon during her freshman year, and she had to see it through until the end.   She said, “Being a part of the staff has not only helped my writing flourish, but I have grown as well. Coming to college, I had no idea what the climate would be like, but The Hornet Tribune quickly helped me to acclimate, and ultimately, set a positive tone for my college career.”
