Kyra M. Lundy has been named the Student of the Month for September.  She is a native of Leeds, Alabama, where she attended Leeds High School.  While at Leeds High School she was a member of the Key Club and Future Business Leaders of America.  Upon arriving at Alabama State University where she plans to major in business management, she chose to work with The Hornet Tribune because she felt like she could make a difference in the way young people think and feel about certain issues in the world.  Serving as a staff columnist in the Viewpoints section of The Hornet Tribune, she said, “My focus is to influence students to think creatively and in more than just one way.”
